Perhaps this makes really clean water, and that is good, but I doubt seriously this will prove most economical means to good quality potable water, when membrane capacitive deionization has the proven lowest net energy input per cubic meter water treated, and it is done with recovery of over 95% of the water. New Pulsed Flow RO technology will not beat this on energy consumption per volume produced, but might rival in terms of productivity per footprint.
