The International Water Association is planning for a conference to be held in Guayaquil, Ecuador in the fall of 2019, which will include a session on sustainability in mining.  The issue of toxic effluent from mines is a very important issue, as you know.  The dates of the conference will be September 30th through October 2nd.  I often see CSIRO representatives at IWA conferences, and I am hoping that this conference (not yet announced) is one that you would also want to send a representative to. It will address innovation in sustainable use of water by industry, agriculture, and cities, so this topic would be very  germane. If you have any interest in pursuing this, please contact me.
