It is a very inefficient way of dust suppression because for carrying and distributing every 20000 gallons of water you are using a 10 ton machine. As you cover a part of the road, the lead distance increases. Why not use part circle sprinkler system installed along the edge of the road. Part circle sprinklers with automated remote controlled operation will do the same job at less than half the cost. I did this long back in 1977 at Sharda Sahayak Canal Project in India and thereafter on haul roads in many coal mines.
